Concrete Certification With ACI
Never before has the construction industry relied more on formal quality control and quality assurance methods to obtain a built environment that meets the needs of society. A key element in meeting quality control and quality assurance goals is a cadre of trained and qualified inspectors. To achieve that need the American Concrete Institute provides training materials and examinations. The Eastern Pennsylvania & Delaware Chapter (formerly the Delaware Valley Chapter) of ACI conducts review courses and administers exams in eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Founded in 1904, the American Concrete Institute is an international technical and educational society dedicated to improving the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of concrete structures. The Eastern Pennsylvania & Delaware Chapter of ACI pursues the mission of the international organization in this locale.
At the present time the Eastern Pennsylvania & Delaware Chapter of ACI conducts review courses and exams for the following certifications (click on each for a complete description):
- Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
- Concrete Flatwork Finisher & Technician
- Concrete Strength Testing Technician
- Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician - Grade I
Should you intend to take the Certification Examinations we highly recommend that you enroll in a review course prior to taking the exam. Those not wishing to enroll in the review should obtain the text package and undertake a self-study program.

Should you not pass the written or performance exams you may register for and take a re-exam of the exam you have failed within one year‘s time starting at the date of the failed exam. After one year has passed you must take both written and performance exams.

Contract Sessions - Should a company or other group wish to schedule a review and/or examination outside the announced schedule for any of the certifications listed above they should contact the Chapter Headquarters at (302) 765-3732 to make arrangements concerning times and costs.
All course and exam dates, times and locations are subject to change. Courses and exams are subject to cancellation in the event of low enrollment.
